Lofoten's history is built on fishing. On the empty fishing racks, the cod are hung up to dry during the annual Lofoten fishing, and from here first-class stockfish will be offered to large parts of the world. The fishing racks in Lofoten are surrounded by Lofoten's majestic mountains. In winter, before the Lofoten fishing starts, the racks are empty, but soon they will be abundantly filled with fresh cod from the sea.
